The seventh imperative

The first imperative is to be aware—aware of the market, of opportunities, of who you are. The second imperative is to be educated, so you can understand what’s around you. The third imperative is to be connected, so you can be trusted as you engage. The fourth imperative is to be consistent, so the system knows what to expect. The fifth imperative is to build an asset, so you have something to sell. The sixth imperative is to be productive, so you can be well-priced. The seventh imperative is to have the guts and the heart and the passion to ship. ~Poke The Box

Delivering Value

As I read “The Google Story” (I already read it twice) and I always feel inspired how Google has emerged as a giant and it’s spectacular rise over a period of time that has become the hottest business, media and technology success of all time… Amazing… Fascinating story. If you are in the internet marketing industry and you haven’t read it then I strongly recommend to read it… Great story which has build total brand value by innovating to deliver customer value and customer leadership faster, better, and more completely than the competition. I like the way they build brands and make the world a little happier by bringing their best to us. Their mission to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful has become a synonym for search and driving the world’s information handy. I like the Google Philosophy: Never Settle for the best.

Taking Social Media from talk to action

“Conventional marketing wisdom long held that a dissatisfied customer tells ten people. But…in the new age of social media, he or she has the tools to tell ten million.” Paul Gillin, author of The New Influencers

Jack Welch and the 4E's of Leadership

The 4e’s of leadership is the leadership model that helped make Jack Welch the greatest CEO of his day, and GE the most valuable corporation in the world. In his 20+ years at the helm of General Electric, Welch transformed a mature manufacturing company into an ageless, services juggernaut. He increased the value of the company more than thirty times over, and under his leadership, GE turned out more Fortune 500 CEO’s than any other company in history. He said “the smartest people in the world hire the smartest people in the world,” but looked for much more than smarts. The 4e’s helped him to find and develop leaders that would live up to GE’s high-octane, performance-based culture. Those that scored high in all four “e” categories (e.g. the 4e Leader) were the ones that would help him fulfill his goal of building the world’s most competitive organization. THE 4E’s: • Energy . Welch says individuals with energy love to “go, go, go.” Everyone knows these types, the ones wi...

Wayanad – The natural expedition

This holiday season was great natural expedition to “Wayanad” – It’s a spiritual and natural expedition in the lap of “the Brahmagiri” hills, and the historical centers of Northern Kerala. Last year during the same time it was great exploration to South India Tour. Before I start my journey of my experience let me describe in brief what is Wayanad all about… Wayanad also known as the Mayakshetra (Maya's land) and evolved into Mayanad and finally to Wayanad. It is located in the north-east of Kerala . The Folk etymology of the word says it is a combination of Vayal (paddy field) and Naad (land), making it 'The Land of Paddy Fields'. We (Family consisting of my mother, sister, BIL & nephew) started our journey on Dec 26 th - cold early morning and eventually hit the road by our car @ 6 AM. On the way had a delicious idli wrapped with Banana leaf at Kamath Upachar on the Bangalore-Mysore road. Wayanad is well connected with number of major roads from the most of ...

My next 30 day challenge

I just finished my 30 day challenge of gymming daily on April 30 th . Yes, it was quite difficult & quite challenging too to keep up the challenge. I think, apart from few occasional times that were unavoidable, I tried being regular for gymming. The happiest part of this exercise is I lost 2 kgs of my weight. Much less though J but I am happy. This does not end here. I am still continuing with my gymming daily till I am perfectly fit. My next 30 day challenge is pretty interesting one and i.e commuting on bike to the office and elsewhere and I just love riding on it. The reason to choose this as my 30 day challenge is to, at least, once in a year let me contribute to “GO GREEN” campaign by saving some quantity of fuel to the earth (I know it will constitute not even somewhere around 1/1000 of a drop) but nevertheless of the quantity its just an initiative that I wanted to drive since a long time and finally it took the shape in my 30 day challenge activities and the other rea...
